Scopas vs yellow tang

As far as general algae control is there a big difference between the appetite of the scopas vs the yellow tang

I have both in my big tank (3 yellow 2 scopas) they all graze all the time but it'd never 100% who does what or more. Yellows are more expensive but prettier. I'd go yellow. If ya want an algae machine, foxface worked well for me. I also have 8 tangs that work well

I wish I could put 8 tangs I only have a 150 60x24x24 .
I have never had luck with foxface I my try it again

They get big. I have a 8ft 260g. Plus a 65,250g low boy frags, and a giant sump all with random fishes waiting to be put into tanks lol. I love chocolate tangs too. They can be gorgeous and good eaters. My tomini tangs are always grazing too. Best eater so far though has been my little hippo tang. I feel like that thing eats any kind of algae

I prefer the Scopas. It is beautiful in its own way . Just need to get a little closer to see the amazing patterns. They need to be well fed. Mine was the size of a quarter and grew very fast. It died after 3 years without warning. .
