Who all has made there own screen top and how did it turn out

What did you make it out of. I have a corner over flow and it’s gonna be hard to make something follow that curve

I've made several from the window screen frames and clear 1/4" netting, but IMO the best of this style is with the DD Jumpguard .

I did as well, and although my overflow is in the back, I just went right over it with the screen top, and it filled the tank opening from corner to corner. My overflow just about makes contact with the screen, so I was happy.

If your overflow is well below where a screen top would be, I suppose you could just build the screen to fit the rim of the tank, and add a bit of plastic gutter guard to to your overflow (vertically) to bring it right up to the screen cover.

I think that would do the trick, because trying to curve the screen topper around the overflow would be a real head ache, or a real expensive custom endeavor.

What they said. I have made screen tops for all my tanks. Anodized aluminum window screen frame, spline, and plastic corners from HD/Lowes, 1/4" mesh from BRS. You'll need a hacksaw or something to cut the aluminum and a spline roller (also from HD//Lowes) The first one took me all of 20 minutes. Anymore, they're all of 10 minutes each. Don't try to get fancy - just measure the size of the opening and fill it.
