Ive been looking to do two/three rabbitfish for my tank (since I probably will not add anymore tangs based on feedback I got on my last thread). I love foxfaces a lot, super cool and I loved when I had two! I was looking at a one spot foxface and bicolor for sure. But I found a scribbled rabbitfish… are they really as pretty as the pictures online are??? Was looking at either an orange spot or orange lined rabbit as the third but saw one of these on reefbeauties. Some pictures are so colorful and others not… @i cant think ?? I know you love rabbits do you have one? Anyone else have one that can test to their colors?

This is the picture on their site for reference

Slightly off topic: Do you keep corals in that tank?

Nope! I had my biocube up for a reef tank but all my corals just melted and I couldnt figure out why since the tests were okay and I got so frustrated I tore it down. All I have is my 300 gallon FOWLR. Right now I dont even have any inverts of any kind

Sounds good. The ones I see at my LFS really do look that good.

Are you planning on buying it online?

Is this the coloration you’re seeking? It’s a YouTube video.

I've got lots of fish.
Oh wow! Yeah thats what I was curious if they looked like. Stunning. How long have you had that one?

About a year. Online pics can be tough, I figures a real one would be better. Foxfaces though can change their colors quickly . They don't always show off the good colors.

Yeah for sure! I was just curious if they actually had those colors and that wasnt editing to make them look more colotful

I do really like the orange spot and orange lined too. Hard choice since they are all pretty fish

Fyi They are venomous
Yes I have been stung by a foxface. Minor reaction that benadryl takes care of, nothing like a lionfish or bee sting! Thank you for the warning 😂 I appreciate it!

Oh now you’re making me dive through all my photos I’ve ever taken :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Yes, I’ve got a photo of a proper adult at some point.
Until I find that photo, enjoy Scribbles in his camo colours.

Also, one thing to be careful of is there is also a Siganus virgatus, which is this guy.

They’re still very colourful but they aren’t as nice as the true Doliatus (I’m still trying to find another).
