Over the last day or so, my small Kenya Tree hasn't opened up. It was doing really well, but I had to move it over to make room for a new, much larger, finger leather coral. The orange mushroom polyps seem as happy now as in the old spot.

The Kenya tree is the upright thing above the largest mushroom.

Any ideas why this easy coral could be so unhappy?

Hey,
Sometimes they just do that. Check to make sure it is in good flow and that you didn't change its altitude in the tank by any severe degree(more than a 9 inches I'd say).

Ok. I will be patient with it. The rock was on the substrate before, so no altitude change. Thanks for mentioning that. I will be conscious of that from now on.

Wow, that's a long time! I will try not to worry.

Hi Dec, there is no change to the Kenya Tree. But the orange mushrooms love the new spot. It has only been 3 days, so I am banking on jamesreeftank's 1 week example. :)

Will do!

I checked for pests at several different points in the light and water cycles yesterday and early this morning. I found no pests. This afternoon, I came home to find the Kenya Tree starting to open up. Good news, right?

Yeah, it must have been shocked... All sounds good(those things are near impossible to kill it seems)

The Kenya Tree is all of 2 inches tall now and looking much better. Thanks for all the advice.
