I got this sea cabbage for a week.

When I put it in it was straight up and I glued it there. But now the polyps are open but it’s now laying down. Any suggestions to position it or just let it correct itself?

Do you know any other names it goes by? It almost seems like something more like a sea apple to me, which by the way, shouldn’t be glued. But I don’t have experience with them as they’re rather uncommon.

Cabbage leather would be its others name. I came on that rock it was attached and I epoxy the rock there.

Leathers are a bit weird and can do whatever they want, but I would say up the flow a tiny bit and see what happens.

Sinularia brassica, moderately higher flow works well. Not uncommon for this coral to look wilted during acclimation. Always run down chemistry when you see stressed corals.

Moved to soft corals. :)

Thanks I’ll try that. Yea it’s only a week for him to be in the new tank and since I bought it online it seems to had a rough trip. But at least I saw the polyps are sticking out

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
