I like to try my best to find a niche for my videos. I enjoy putting my own music to them more often than not though I leave them as raw footage. I like to design aspects of a pure notation of the health of my tank. I have even taken video with a GoPro inside the tank. Some are time-lapse and some or slowmo. I try to keep most of them under 3 minutes.

If you ever want to successfully record your fishes’ natural behavior, just set your camera up on a tripod and walk away. That’s always been the most effect method for me. If you have an Apple Watch, you can even control your iPhone’s camera remotely, and press record when you see some activity.

Its kind of like a daily occurrence- LOL
Not all of the videos I shoot a great, or worthy of sharing, but I find it as a great way to document the tank progress, and it can provide addition visual information about the state of the tank than, say a still photo can.

I usually just use my phone (Samsung S21 Ultra), without a lenses filter. It has pretty good "Pro camera" features, one of which is a customer white balance that goes as high a 10K, which takes most of the blue out and creates a pleasing look.

Here is an example of a recent video
