Sea cucumber identification

Good afternoon
Purchased this sea cucumber from my lfs with only info given that it was an Australian example & did not require substrate as it was a variety that "filter fed via water column.
I'm a cuke Virgin & it's probably a terrible idea but I picked him up.
My tank is predominantly SPS & clams.
Is the info I've been given hogwash?
I'll add a sanded if neccesary but I wanted to check first

That’s a sea apple with its feeding tentacles retracted. I was always taught that they can release toxic viscera if stressed. Because of that, I’ve only kept them in single species tanks. I’ve also heard that this isn’t always true, but I never risked trying them in a reef.

They are filter feeders. I’ve tried rotifers, baby brine and liquid invertebrate food, but the longevity I saw was less than a year as I recall.
