I woke up this morning to water on the floor (again), turns out my Seaclone HOB skimmer was overflowing from the neck area around where it discharges back into the tank. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?

This is the first time I've seen it overflow from this spot, the skimmer is clean and there are no snails left to cause it to clog.

Sadly to say that is a piece of garbage. Save up and look into something reputable.

I agree its not good always had these issues when I first got into the hobby. If your looking for a little better one that is cheap used look at coarllife they make a decent one that works a lot better. I sold mine for like $50 about a year ago bet you could find one for that price.

It seems to be under control (for now). I need to decide what I am doing about my upgrade before I put any more money into this tank.

Sorry to say they don't work. I switch to corallife, they skimmed but also overflow. I'd go with one of those internal type skimmers,Sorry I don't remember the name. maybe bac pac skimmer?

Thanks, I had a CPR Bak Pak but it wasn't very good. I think I am going to go back to an air driven soda bottle skimmer I made, it pulled about as much junk as either the CPR or Seaclone and didn't try to flood my house!
