Hey there everyone! Slowly building up to my dream tank, but I'm building a smaller tank at the moment to tide me over. Recently bought a 36"x18"x8" Seapora 22 frag tank AIO and had some questions to see how I can start things off right. Got everything setup: 60 lbs fiji pink CaribSea live sand, roughly 20-30 lbs dry rock, Nero 3 wave pump (this little thing kicks butt!), stock pump that does 256 g/hr (possible upgrade ideas??), two AI Prime 16 HD lights, Cobalt heater, a bottle of Fritz-Zyme Turbostart 900, and ChemiPure Blue filter media.

Any tips on cycling properly? I've done a few methods before and Fritz has been good to me, but open to other ideas.

Any opinions on stock list? Looking for mixed reef, but could be happy with fish only. Got a pretty good sand bed for a goby, small wrasse, or conch. Loving the lagoon style for a bigger footprint, just a little nervous about the 8" height. There will be a net top!!!

Feel free to drop a line and let me know what you think!

I just picked up one of these tanks today. Any pictures of your setup? Anything I should watch out for?

I'm planning on a frag display for zoa and LPS grow out with a few damsels or something in it. Mostly just to catch the overflow corals from my 30g display.

So far it's a good tank. Watch for salt creep behind the intake/outflow box. It's subtle, but it'll build up over time. The 8" height was a bit daunting as I actually wanted a sand bed in my tank. Can't set my Nero 3 over 30% unless I want to tempt a wave over the side, but it's a great footprint. I'm enjoying the build so far! Will post pics later.

I look forward to seeing your setup. I'm still trying to decide how to do mine, so I could use some inspiration.

Here’s a pic of my setup so far. Maintenance to come getting walls on the stand and getting wires in better order. Have two starcki damsels that are doing great and a little yellow watchman I saved from my lfs. Rocks are centralized so I can get flow one way from the output and flow on the opposite side from my Nero 3.

Yep! Build it from black piping from the local hardware store. Thought it was better than drilling holes in the ceiling and then having to drill more if I wanted to move the tank. The stand is the 40B metal stand from Petco. They usually run sales on them too.

Don't know where anyone else stands, but I usually find dry rock and live sand usually work for me. I know live rock will cycle faster, but I don't want to risk any unwelcome hitchhikers sneaking in.

I'm digging the dimensions of the tank. I'd like to do something similar when I get around to a mangrove tank.

Only thing I'd like is that it was a couple of inches taller. I love the footprint.

I was tinkering around with my tank a bit, trying to make a plan. I don't know that I'm a fan of the AiO chamber setup.

How did you arrange your equipment in there? Have any pictures?
