search sucks!

is it me or am i missing something cause the search on this forum is the worst search i've ever used on any forum it always searches the whole forum... i can never just search in diy or a specific area.. like in most forums if your in that category it searches that category for your keywords... i find this really annoying and would probably use this forum more if the search didnt suck so badly..

I'm not sure why the little drop down search defaults to the entire forum... But, if you go into Advanced Search you can select the sub-forum(s) you want to search in.

+1 with above poster. Sorry about the frustrations. Please shoot me a pm if you have any problems accessing what above posted mentioned. The advanced search should look familiar as it's basically the same as other sites. Hope that helps. : )

Ya know I have a really hard time finding stuff with our search also... I notice if you don't use tags in your thread on the bottom like key words on a craigslist add the search misses it most of the time... I was gonna bring this up awhile back but keep forgetting I always use google like ie " 700 gal tank keeperz reef2reef" and it pops right up haha... Same with half of my threads I have to use google to find some of my old ones...:sad:
