Hey — probably totally normal but I wanted to check.
Tank is 5 yrs old, I’ve had the sebae for 3
Sebae anemone with its mouth open for the last 2 days. There were some big changes in the tank this week — 50% new sand, 70% water change, new rocks were added. Phosphates were .8 before. It’s shrunk considerably in the last year with lighting changes. In the last month when phosphates were high and RBTAs were running around the it left the sand and was on the glass at the top of the water column for a couple of weeks. Adding Microbacter7 daily and running carbon and gfo.
After all this change I moved it from the glass to the sand in the center of the tank where it used to live last year ( it’s been off to the side since then) I fed it when it was on the glass last week and then again when I moved it.
I guess I’m worried about all the changes affecting it negatively, and maybe feeding it during this transition caused it extra stress.

Pics are last year — and then now ( no pics in between when it’s been just generally smaller—sorry)
It’s color is much better but it’s just so much smaller too

I'm sure it's from the changes. With nems I'd give a week or 2 before being overly concerned. Just get things back to stable.

I had similar thing happened to one of my Haddoni. It was weeks before it go back to normal with a lot of water changes. I think it is something in the water. I would be interest in one of these send out water test to see if there is any imbalance. This is what I would do if I have the same problem now.
