Dosing sodium hydroxide has the identical pH boost to kalkwasser per unit of alkalinity added. Thus, unless you add more because kalkwasser was not keeping up with demand, you won’t see an improvement.

That said, if you proceed, the recipe here, or better yet, in the link below, can be followed by using twice as much as the recipe uses for solid sodium hydroxide (by weight). That is, use 2 x 283 grams of your 50% solution instead of 283 g of solid sodium hydroxide:

Will the container get equally hot when adding the 50% liquid version to fresh water or not, as it's already dissolved in water? Also, does the container need to be made of a specific plastic too please?

No. It may get somewhat warm, but the initial dissolution of solid to 50% used up all of the large heat of hydration and dissolution of the solid NaOH.
