Hello from Huntsville AL! Lost my login info & in a panic signed up again. Tank was set up in August 2016 as a gift from my son. It’s 75 gallons of pleasure, relaxation with a side of frustration at times. Thought I was doing good, water tests were on point, until I had a death in the tank. My Diamond Watchman Goby that I love passed away. I bought a replacement goby & when it passed 2 days later, I returned to my LFS with dead fish & water sample in hand. Apparently my Nitrate test kit was faulty (it had for a while indicated Zero) but they were thru the roof‼️ Nitrates are still higher than they should be, but my tank inhabitants are thriving (except snails & crabs) I have like 10/2 right now, but am afraid to buy more until I get this chemistry straightened out.
So what do I run you might ask (or not):
20 gallon sump
Reef Octopus Classic 150-S protein skimmer
With Co2 scrubber canister connected.
Pondmaster magnetic drive pump
Avast media reactor
ATO
Grow light for Chaeto (can’t give this stuff away) it grows so fast.
Air blubber right now trying to add more air.
In the display:
Eshopps overflow
IceCap 3K Gyre flow pump
2- Kessil A360 lights
Inhabitants:
One Spot Foxface
Yellow Tang
2- Snowflake clowns
Blue striped cleaner wrasse
Purple Dottyback
Green Mandarin
1 Yellowtail Damsel left over from tank cycle when new.
1 peppermint schrimp
2 little crabs
Less than about 15-20 various snails.
Corals
More neon green hairy mushrooms than I want.
Neon Orange mushrooms
Green star polyps
Blue Spot mushrooms
Ricordia mushroom
Rhodactis mushroom
Green palys
Some other dull orange mushroom that hitched in on the palys.

I’ve learned so much in the 3 years I’ve had this tank set up. Learning more all the time, but I do think I’m more confident now than before. I even bought, put together & installed a 5 filter RODI filter system myself! Had to share that picture too .
I’ll post my current water parameters in another thread to see what advice I can get on a few I still struggle with.
Pictures are from Aug 2016 & today, see it is possible.;)
Thanks so much for sharing your experience & knowledge with others in this incredible hobby. Tracy
