Seeking Many IDs

howdy folks. I've been capturing reef images for the last 20 years and I've been revamping my website to include species profiles of marine fish, invertebrates etc. I can identify most of them but there are a few that are proving very tricky! There are too many to put here but I'll put a few in this thread. First one... I know this is a Plectranthias sp. but anyone know the species (and if so, how are you sure?)

Wow, tough one as there are so many. Judging by the white edging above the eye and the top of the dorsal fin, I did find a couple of somewhat simular pictures in the following websites that you may have already seen.

Something in the "Jack" family, Carangidae, I think. We're probably the wrong forum to ID that one. Fisherman might actually be better to ID here.

Again, not gonna make it easy on us are you? Can you give us a little more info such as the location these pictures were taken and the approximate size of the fish? That would help narrow it down and help determine if it is a juvenile or not.
In the mean time I've got some possibilities for you. In the "Dr. Burgess's Atlas of Marine Aquarium Fishes, 2nd edition" (just in case you have one) on page 248, third one down on left side, the fish pictures looks to be a near identical dead ringer. But it does not have an exact ID, being listed as "Carangoides sp. (?aramatus) (juv.)". When I googled images for that the pectoral fin doesn't match up. Then again this might transform as it grows.
A couple others that may look like that at a juvenile stage, Chloroscombrus chrysurus or Carangoides talamparoides.

The Cirrhilabrus wrasse looks like either Briangreeni or Pylei (I have my bets on it being a female Pylei)
The damsel looks like an occelate or it could be closely related to that.

looks like a match with most images that brings up on Google... awesome! the female looks a bit different though. I might have a pic of one of those actually...

I’ve just visited and had a look at the jawfish, I love that genus and wondered if you had planned on adding the red (Opistognathus rufilineatus).

They both look very similar to the pylei so possibly!!

cheers - yes that was my thinking also. I don't thinkI've encountered a rufilineatus jawfish but I'll have a look. Again I have some species that have defied identification

I'd love it! best thing would be to comment against an image on my site really as there are quite a few. It's gonna take me forever to post them all on here (although I'll keep doing so when I can). If I've got any of them wrong I'd be open to ideas

Will do!! Also Hoplolatilus chlupatyi is a good tilefish to keep a look out for (Very personable) and if you need any information I have a thread with my experience on keeping them in this hobby.

The blenny looks like Atrosalarias fuscus (Tribal blenny) but the damsel I don’t quite remember, I have seen something similar but don’t remember the name.
