Seiryu stone pH benefits?

Seiryu stone is a stone that is commonly used in freshwater aquascaping. However, one big caveat is that it leaches compounds into the water, increasing the pH, kH, and gH quite aggressively. This is not ideal for freshwater planted tanks as most freshwater plants prefer a slightly acidic pH.

I was wondering if this effect could be used/exploited in a saltwater reef environment. Has anyone tried placing these stones in your reef setup? Could this be a way to improve pH and even replenish minerals?

Ai says no, because it is limestone and slowly dissolves and will mess with Ca & Mg parameters?

I presume it would act similar to a calcium reactor, replenishing elements except that the dissolution doesn't release elements in a controlled fashion, tending to overwhelm calcium and also messing with pH stability?

Unlike aragonite, limestone contiunes to dissolve beyond useful concentrations in the marine environment.

It is mostly limestone (calcium carbonate) which dissolves in fresh water, but cannot dissolve in seawater due to the high calcium and carbonate already present.
