There are multiple very good reasons why I should not be buying this fish (moving soon, quarantine tank has seaweed in it that's quarantining already, no excess disposable income, etc.). But my brain's like "look at this fish! you want it! buy it!!!! It's rare!!".

Huh, that's actually a pretty good time. The Banggai Cardinal pairs typically sell out within a minute of being put online...this fish lasted like an hour.

I got a pair of Yashas with a pair of randalli shrimp. Also a pair of Auroras with a pair of tiger shrimp.
Pairing the gobies is simple: toss two together and you got a pair since they change sex both ways. What is hard is pairing the shrimp. With the tigers the difference between male and female can be fairly easily seen, but the randalli are so friggin small that is extremely hard to see. Ultimately I just resorted to buying a bunch of the randalli and let them sort it out themselves...

The whole "bonded pair" thing is scam in most cases.
