The only train I hopped on was agreeing that considering reactions for selecting some of the finalists would be a good idea. My picture got some reactions, but wasn't even close to the top. Everyone keeps making so many assumptions about me instead of just reading my feedback. *Shrug*

Be awesome if we got back to talking about the awesome photos everyone made and the great turnout this month. @Griev I don't think your suggestion was at all inappropriate. It's good to have constuctive ideas, even if they get shot down... like totally obliterated. Vaporized. Anywho, I try to laugh it off so I can get back to laughing at everyone else--then again, my ideas are usually par excellence, so you might say I'm pontificating from a position of privilege. Pity we had one poster sore, understandably, about not making it to the second round, but we have to accept that that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I hope they keep participating in the future. Good chance to get in one of these times! What I considered my best shot ever didn't make it to the second round back in Feb or Mar. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Chin up everyone, and keep an eye on those fish for when they give you pure gold.

This was my original entry that I changed. I just couldn't get the tang to stand out enough

I replaced it with this. I thought it was a pretty good shot. It's in focus, nice detail on the nem. I dunno maybe too much black on the outside :thinking-face:

I like both shots, particularly the tang who has the expression of the guy in the audience that just got selected for audience participation at a show.

Some fancy, some phones. Obvious advantage to using a fancy camera. A good phone with Orphek lenses and the right shot does a respectable job.

I use both. I either use a Nikon 5600 with a basic kit lens, or use my iPhone 11 (soon to be 16)
