Here’s some updates;

I’m still having this weird bacterial bloom (I assume). I’ve polled many experienced reefers (greater than 30 years etc) and no one has seen anything like this. You can see the “fuzz” on the rock in the last picture.

KZ ZeoZym + KZ Zeobak treatment for few weeks should help to get rid of disbalance of these bacteries

let me know if you figure out the bacteria fuzz issue. I have the same problem on my 1k gallon tank and it's annoying. I thought it was a strange algae of sorts.

also, you have any video of the surge tank working? I want to put one on mine but i'm worried that my bean animal will gurgle like mad off and on with the change in sump level associated with the surge. How do you handle the changing water levels?
