So I am the process of converting my 29 gallon over to reef and we are about 2 weeks into cycling the tank and have plenty of brown algae. Everything is going very well. As luck would have I was given a 90 gallon drilled tank with a sump, pump and reef controller. My question is this. Should I continue to cycle the 29? Or should I move everything over to the 90 and continue to cycle over there? I still need to source a light for the 90. I have a damsel in the 29. (I know fishless cycles are better, but LFS talked me into it before I read all the advice to not go that route). Thoughts?

Follow up question: What would be your "showcase" fish in a 90 reef? I am thinking a foxface but I just don't know all my options. So I want to hear your thoughts.

Look at what you can afford. Bigger tanks can have a higher cost.
Otherwise keep both!!! :)

I love boxfish/cowfish...I know all the risks but I still love them! Too dangerous to keep in a 90gal fully stocked tho

Hmm...I'd probably go with a few really nice Fairy Wrasses. I really want a lineatus...but couldn't do it in my tank bc it's too small, but if I had a 90g...

I'll +1 on the fairy wrasses. Gorgeous fish and most of them are very peaceful

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
