setting white balance

Just curious what everyone uses? I have a gray card and white card what do you find best?

I've used the white painted walls inside the canopy or a white cutting board submerged into the water.


I've also recently picked up colored gels (colored film), and I'm going to experiment with these where white balancing isn't needed. Just hold the gel in front of the lens of the camera.

I've used the lid from a white plastic container before.

I've tried the gray card but find it best to set the kelvin to 14k on the camera.
Does anyone shoot with a Olympus e-pl series?
