I have not cleaned my skimmer in 2 + years
My ahh sump pump hasnt been cleaned in 2+ years
Ok, nothing's been cleaned in 2 years :(
I am sure everything would have less issues if i got it all torn out and cleaned up. But, ahh :confounded-face:

The skimmer is a pain to remove out of the sump as there isn't a lot of clearance. So I have to disassemble the piece of skum a few parts at a time.

I woke up yesterday with water around the sump. Took a few minutes to check everything over. No visible leaks. Look at the skimmer and its bubbling over.


Realized I left the uv on for 1.5 days. Pulled the cup and dried the area. No more water. Big sigh of relief.

You don't run your UV 24/7?

I don't. It really heats up the tank. I run it at night when almost the lights are off. Even than when I wake up the tank is close to 77 and I keep the tank at 76.

During the day my tank stays between 75 and 76. With the uv I've hit 78 almost 79.
