sg- 1.018 ok for fish only?

I've heard lower salinity can actually be detrimental to parasite growth on fish but i'm mostly asking because I'm not sure if I can add a couple of fish when my sg is 1.018.
 
Fish only systems are fine from 1.017-->1.027 and yes the lower S.G. hinders parasite growth.
