Took in a rehome of a Shadow fin shark. Did some research and decided to give the guy the space he needed to roam from his much smaller previous enclosure. With that said, the more research I do, the more I think I need to find a partner for the dude. He's about 6 inches long currently and should grow to twice that size. Anybody ever kept one, have a few or know where a good place to find one online may be? The local LFS doesn't see them very often.

They used to be pretty common in the local freshwater fish stores. Live Aquaria still lists them under freshwater.

+1 to this

Great fish in our tank. I have been striking out finding a tankmate for it though. I'll try live aquaria. I'd prefer to get one that has already transitioned to salt. I mean, I could raise them in my kids' freshwater tank but when it goes to brackish is where I come into an issue.
