Ca reactor is here from @AVAST Marine Love how it is set up to run. My Apex will control the CO2 via a pH probe that installs underneath the main chamber (that arrives on Friday) and the reactor has a fixed drip rate via a special flow restricting tip. More to come when I get it running this weekend.

The main chamber is filled with TFL's ReBorn media and the second chamber is alternate layers of ReBorn and CaribSea Oolite sand. The idea of the layered second chamber is to elevate the pH of the out-flowing effluent before it enters the tank. I plan on running a lower than usual pH inside the main chamber, but only have it running during the day.

The unit is fed by that tiny little DC pump.

Hope to have this guy running on August 18th. Too much going on getting my son ready to head out to The University of Florida.

Having a huge bubble algae and aptasia breakout. The never ending joys of reef keeping!

Video update. Started dosing Vibrant from @UWC hoping to wipe out the bubble algae. Dose number two is going in tomorrow. Will be sourcing a filefish for the aptasia. I’m thinking the double outbreak is partially due to the massive over feeding event while I was on vacation.
