I mean I'm not gay, but! I think lps and sps in a shallow tank is a great option I've done it and had good success just be sure to think about the fact that the tank is only 14 inches deep so lighting will need to be according with your par levels and where sps that need strong light in the tank are

That was a nice system. Think i will go for the neptunian lagoon. I have a Red sea 250 now and I cant get to all the coral's because it's so overgrown.
Thanks!
Over the years, 30+, I have always had the great rock wall. The last 6 or so years I have had minimal scapes and they make maintenance very easy.
My current 7 month old ext 170 is another example of minimalist scaping.
150lbs of live rock set on the bottom of the tank which is 19" from the bottom to the surface.
With this type of setup I can remove any rock I need to in the future for maintenance.

This setup works well for shallow lagoon type systems.

My Red Sea 170 nem system follows the same minimalist setup.
