Is that a 40 breeder? What size is the display. Set up is very clean...
Its a custom made 36L x 24D x 20H, SCA aquariums in Ca, they work excellent.
Appreciate your kind words, I'm really obsessed with my tank and trying to keep it really clean and organized.

Is that a sol over your fuge?
Yep it's a Sol Blue, in my experience the best led ever made, switched to Radion in my display cause all the good comments and reviews but honestly the Sol's are wayyyyyyy simple to program and they grow ANY kind of coral, including the SPS. Sometimes wants to sell my Radion and get three or four Ai Sol's for my display, let's see... By now I'm getting used to the PhD in Astrophysics and Par Science with the Radions, lol!!!!!

I'm in the same boat, I'm leaning to the Miro 36" retrofit T5 kit, don't know if 2 or 4 T5's so i can use only one Radion and the T5's and saving some $$$.

Full picture from under display stand, divided in two compartments electronics-food/sump-fuge
ImageUploadedByREEF2REEF1439565680.589207.jpg

Upper deck behind the white wall divider it's located the Apex and electronics, this time decided in the top from sump, in case of a Leak no water damage to my electronics like in the past (full disaster after sump started leaking lots of water :(

Here is my little 10 gallon sump for the 29 gallon display. It contains 2 titanium heaters, off brand skimmer, mag 9.5 return pump, photo optic sensors for ATO, 4" filter sock, and Ofcourse a small refugium lit by a Chinese LED. The plumbing for the geo calcium reactor, DIY carbon and GFO reactors are in the wall and comes out under my bar. I also have a chart recorder that monitors when the ATO activates, PH, and Temperature. I also use a PID temperature controller with a setpoint of 79 degrees F. Probably a bit overkill for a 29 display but I like it:)

20L under a 55 display. All DIY. Middle section has changed from fuge to frag tank and I've been thinking about ditching the whole thing, upgrading the skimmer and leaving the stand dark.

Some really nice setups in this thread & a few ideas I may need to borrow & expand on with the new build :)

This was our first sump a few years ago. We had chambers for rubble, miracle mud, live rock & the green algae weed. Everything we thought was needed. Had it running before the DT was filled. When it came down 2yrs later the amount of detritus & gunk caught in the rubble & rock was a joke.
SANY2203.JPG

When we moved there was a new cabinet 2ft longer then the tank which is really handy. Still had the weed & live rock but lost the rubble. In the end the detritus got the better of me & another sump came in. Ended up losing the filter socks, to much work for an old man changing them weekly.
SANY4029.JPG

Not long after we got it running, no rock, no weed, eventually no filter socks, just bubble traps & frag racks.
IMAG2082.jpg

The last 4ft was for all the extra hang on bits & pieces, before all the wires where hidden away.
Last 4ft.jpg

All above has been torn down & the current build is still a work in progress. This one has room for skimmer, frags, & pumps. No bubble traps, or anywhere for algae to build up that cannot be reached. My logic has gone from having rock & weed for extra filtration to having nothing for stuff to get caught up in / on. If it's in the water column, it will get skimmed out, if it;s to big, easy enough to get with the wet / dry vac :)
This was only started up last weekend.

Those Lifereef sumps are sooooo nice, someday I'll get on the list and that is where I will start my build.

My sump and tank a much modified Aqua One Aquareef 300. I have a DIY ATS lit both sides with 2 x 20w grow LED's also 2 baskets of Siporax one you can hardly see as it's situated behind the Deltec skimmer. I removed the skimmer cup to take the pic to show more of the ATS setup.

More pic's on my ATS build with a pic just before I turned the feed pump on. Algae growth is after 10 days on the screen. Plus one of my 2, 20w LED units a close up of one of my Siporax baskets

Wow! You used every inch of that stand. I bet that was a lot of planning. Looks good

Not really my sump kind of evolved and I had to work out quite sometime later how to kit an algae scrubber into the available space. However you could say there is little wasted space left. Having saaid that I can get at most stuff with little problem for maintenance etc.
