If I ever win the lotto I a starting my own shipping company. I am so sick of shipping prices. When you get a good deal on a coral you have to pay $50 for shipping. Then there is those people out there making money off shipping prices, especially on ebay. I will charge a set price to ship anywhere and then everybody will come to me instead of the others.

Check out rarecorals on ebay. Also known as Mr. Coral. Has nice corals and probably the best shipping prices I have seen. In fact he ships free to a limited four state area with no minimum order.

yeah, thats why i charge actual shipping. if i'm selling in frag packs normally.

b/c if i include shipping, shipping could only be $30 to the state right above me. but if someone from sanfransisco or sandiego wants it, i'm gonna get charged upwards of $60-$70 for shipping.

Shipping is brutal. It's the part of the business I hate the most. I charge a $9.95 box fee because it actually costs me that much for the box, insulation, bags, peanuts, and heat packs, etc. Most retailers try and work with their preferred shipper to lower rates and pass them on to the customers. Shipping companies are good about it too. FedEx called me out of the blue today to see exactly what my needs were and to try and offer me lower rates. If I get lower rates they'll be passed on to the customer. I've had boxes that cost over $90 to ship, plus the $9.95 box cost, but I still only charge a flat-rate $49.95. It takes a big chunk out my profits to spend the extra $50 to ship. That's life though. I wish it were different.
