Shoom baby different than mother

I received a nuclear red japanese mushroom from sexy corals a while back and a few days ago I noticed a baby mushroom under it. Looks completely different. Do you think I got a freebie hitchhiker or does the babies look completely different than the adults?

My guess is that you had a tiny hitchhiker.

yea it doesnt really look the same at all. its so close to the other one though that its hard to say for sure its not related but my initial guess its its a hitchhiker, usually you can tell the baby came from the mother at first glance

Baby mushrooms don't always look like the parent until they get larger. My purples start off almost clear pinkish redish for some time than go purple. Depends on how much light they get too. Let it grow and see what happens. You could move it to another frag plug.
