Ok I fragged off the top of the acro and if it is AEFW, I hope it doesn't affect the new frag. The existing piece is still growing so hoping it'll hang on.

I would. Just observe for a few weeks and see what happens.

I don't think it's AEFW's Rob,the bitearks would be visible to the naked eye.I have seen several large healthy colonies that have areas like what is going on with that acro.the frags you cut off seem to be doing fine so I would just keep an eye on them and make sure no other corals start doing the same thing.if you have a tricolor acro that would be a good one to dip and look for AEFW'S since they seem to love tricolors.
