I had a nice 2 inch Crocea about a year ago. Unfortunately I had a cyano problem at the time and was cutting back on feeding. My bicolor Blenny began nipping at the Clams mantle and after several months he eventually bit the dust. Before he was very happy and always open. I now feed every day, sometimes twice a day and my Blenny is fat and happy. I'm still worried to attempt another clam because of his nipping in the past, but he only did it when underfed. I would remove the Blenny but he is very hard to catch and my rock work does not allow for much room for a net.

Expect the Blenny to start nipping again, it's what they do. Once they start I have never heard of them stopping regardless of feeding regime.
