Ordered this guy and he arrived today but boy, the water was quite cold (it was only an hour late). There is some tissue recession, but I'm hoping it will recover with some TLC.

Initial, after temp acclimation and dipping:

There's definitely some torn up tissue in the bottom left. Was the bag rubbing on it?

Can't say for sure, but I've seen much worse shipping damage, recover.

I would start it lower flow and lower light than you were planning. Don't do anything stressful and keep an eye on it. Be ready with an iodine reef dip in case it appears it's developing any infection down the road.

I can't say for sure how it was in the bag as it was blacked out. Yes, the right side looks better than the left side. I think I see some recovery but definitely still seeing skeleton. For low light, it would be near my duncan. If that touched it would that be bad? It's actually a decent little semi-shaded spot that houses a feather duster.

I would keep it separated. Duncan's aren't aggressive, but it's another stressor.

Ok, this guy is looking a lot better. There is one section (about an inch left from the upper right) that is damaged that I didn’t even notice yesterday. But it is much more inflated today.
