Show me your water storage

In the planning stages of my dream build that will start coming to life in a few months. Looking into water storage tanks. I think I could keep in my fish room two tanks about 1.5 foot square maybe two and tall each. Let me see what y’all are using for your storage!!

Most of the reefers I know use these for their mixing stations. I personally have 2x 65g vertical tanks; one for RO/DI and one for salt.
There are a lot of threads on R2R for mixing stations. You may want to start there.

Just as a reference for you to think about. I am planning on 2 Norwesco 35 gal horizontals so I can stack on a stand next to RODI to save space. I figure for a 90 gal DT that gives me 1/3 salt water ready to go and another 1/3 for top off or making more saltwater if needed.

My total system volume is ~335g. I can use both if needed or my other 35g brute cans as needed. So far it's enough.

I decided to go a little bigger my tanks are 250 gallons each allows me to mix enough water to do auto water changes on both my 300 gallon systems of 3.5 gallons each a day for 1 month or so. The largest that would fit thru my basement doorway

I have one 60 gallon tank for nsw and 30g for Rodi. I put float switches on the 60g so it notifies.me when it's empty and then when it's full. From empty to full is exactly one bag of instant ocean salt. I do awc so I get notification when it's low, then I dump a bag of salt in and turn awc back on. Been like this for a few years. Best decision ever was to figure out and plan on needing just one bag of salt. I never measure salt. I rarely test nsw for salinity. Btw, the 60g tank has served my system well. 175g display, 60g frag, 30g fuge, 80 sump. It's too small for a big water change. But big water changes are not a good thing.

I love the idea of designing for one bag of salt. I have used IO for years on small tanks but want to plan out this big build to a T. Are your float switches connected to an apex for the notifications. Tank automation is on the books for this but have never used anything other than Dj power strips for my previous tanks.

What is the diameter of those tanks?

It is 31 inches which is exactly same width as the doorway with the trim on it. I had to really squeeze it thru as it rubbed on both sides a little but being plastic it flexes some. Originally I was gunna take off one side of the trim the 1/2inch strip that the door stops on when closed but first tried without and it squeezed thru :)

I can't remember the capacity of this Wesco tank. I believe it is ~55 gallons. I picked this model due to it's small diameter. I needed something ~50 gallons that would fit in this space without interfering with parking in my garage. I've tapped the incoming water line for the hot water tank to feed the RO unit. The RO waste feeds into the AC drain line. I mix salt water as needed in 33 gallon brute trash cans.

64 gallons each. From Home Depot, and a lot cheaper than norwesco. Was looking at getting some 150 gallon talls. It was going to be close to 1000 dollars with shipping.

I'll be writing up our water change station when hubby is done with it and I take all new pictures. He's still tweaking the ardurino safety thing for it.

The water tanks from the website looks amazing. Are the brute trash cans viable for water storage? I don't have a large tank as everyone (75 gallon here). I think a 32 gallon could satisfy my needs.

I used brute cans for years. In my kitchen lol's with the rodi lines coming from the garden hose thru the window. Had 1-2 for fresh water and 1 for salt. Worked just fine.
