Yeah I lucked out and found a baby Jeweled Moray about 3 years ago. He was my first eel and I love him! His name is Ivar. I also have a snowflake named Ghost, a white eye named Loki, and a zebra named Nebula! I love them all

Beautiful fish! Real question is what is your camera set up? These are great photos!

I know this isn't the best forum but I am getting my first eel today, and would love some guidance. Any suggestions on which threads are a good start?

I would say the biggest things are making sure you have a tight lid with no gaps (they're escape artists) and know that you're going to have to feed the eel with tongs every other day. If you go on vacations you'll need to plan to have someone come over to do these feedings.

Snowflakes are generally friendly and don’t get too big. it’s a great introduction to the moray world.

My personal advice would be to set up a few simple grey pvc pipe structures (use wye or 45degree elbow joints) hidden under your rockwork with the openings strategically angled where you want the eel to pop his head out. Eels love the cosiness of pvc pipes and will readily make them their home. This way u always know where to find them and they’ll be ready to pose for pictures!
