And here is Carter; my cockatiel that I found under my car in a parking garage. Three months of searching for owners, and no one claimed her. So here she lives.

Ok...just look at the avatar to the left. My rescued girls. One had been beaten and burned (after being purchased at full price, but used horribly); pups taken away from her; the brown & white one was at the pound to be euthanized due to Parvo. Yep; while they were saved from death; they saved MY life when dx'ed with a tumor. They love watching fish tank videos; and so that is another reason I'm getting back in the hobby!

Watched muted cuz I’m putting baby to sleep but awwwww so cute. Always loved parrots. I had a couple of Cockatiels as a teenager. Great animals. Would love to have a cockatoo one day :)

Hearing about ppl intentionally abusing and neglecting animals makes my skin crawl. Good thing they found you before it was too late. Good job!

[Salty Lemon]

Chai (Cat). She was a stray that decided to give birth to kittens in our front bushes. Soon she had a name and now is queen of the castle.
Cricket (Dog) We were driving down the road when we saw a little boy standing on the sidewalk. He was holding a sign that said "Puppies For Sale". We thought we would stop by "just to look".
Bruce (Female Sulcata Tortoise) -- She was barely bigger than a quarter when we got her. She now weighs over 50 lbs. When we found out that "he" was a "she" we asked the kids if they wanted to rename her. "Nope. Her name is Bruce." they said.
