I'm about to start a 120 Gallon Build. Mine is a standard 48 X 24 X 24, and I want to see what other 120 Gallon Reefers are doing for:
  • Aqua Scaping
  • Lighting
  • Flow
  • Sump / Skimmer / Filtration / Refugium
  • Controller
  • Overflow / Return
  • Heating / Cooling
  • Dosing
  • Stand Height
  • Anything else you want to share...
Post lots of pics !!! Show us your 120 !

Following, upgrading to a 120 also. Just finished scaping but wondering if I need to build it up a bit higher. I have/plan to keep SPS and two radions for lighting. I can't get a good picture yet, but it's about halfway so the highest points are still 12" below water...

this is beautiful. Help me out with something...my 120 has 3x AI Hydra 52s. How do you make it so only the coral is illuminated?
Not sure! Im a t5 guy lol... lowering the leds will give you less light spread. Make sure you lower the percentage of the light. You can kill/bleach all your corals if the light is too close to the water surface. I suggest you to do this with a par meter.

My 120 build I started 3 months ago. Most of the equipment is from a previous 55g. My build is cheap since I have too many other hobbies. Fish - 2 clowns, sailfin tang, puffer and lawnmower blenny. Some corals but slowly buying more.

Stand - came with the tank from petsmart and reinforced with some 2x4's.

Lights - 2 Mars Aqua 165w and a refurbished corrallife pro led for the
lighting effects and moonlights.

Overflow - diy PVC build. Quiet and never lost siphon after 7 years.

Sump - 20 gallon with SC aquarium skimmer. Cheap floating auto top off reinforced with construction adhesive.
