Well I have not updated this in a while. Lots going on like a vacation and holidays but that is over now so back tot he tank. I still have lots to do.
I have to set up the dosing system.
I need to do cable management.
I need to finish the top off system.
I need to hang the lights in the stand.
I also have to add the reactors.

I am also working on a water change system that does about a gallon a a day.
I plan to use a dosing pump. I will remove the exact same amount that I replace.
I will use two containers. One will hold the fresh saltwater and one for the waste.
If my tank was near a drain I would just use a drain.

This is my most recent project. I wanted a larger top off system than my Synergy. I used a 16 gallon xh aquarium. I bought pin stripping for a car and used vinyl numbers to mark the gallons. I bought a piece of acrylic for the top and cut it to size. I cut it about a quarter in and glued two acrylic hinges on. I then drilled a whole and added 1/4" Push Connect Bulkhead Tank Adapter with 1/4 " rigid tubing.
Eventually I will make a chest that matches my stand to enclose it since it was to big to fit in my stand.

I am going to be working on that the next several weeks..

I just purchase icecap control modules for my two Gyre's that will replace the original controllers.
I have purchased Grommets and such for cable management.
The panel is a little bit of a mess for now.
I am setting up a dosser and also picked up a second dosser for water changes.
The tank has not had much done since Christmas but now I am going to be working hard the next month or two.. I have to split my time because my frag tanks are also being redone..

Thank you.
Well this past weekend I installed a addition gyre 150 and two icecap modules to run both Gyre.
I also installed the icecap battery for my Gyre.
I am thinking of getting another icecap battery for my dc return pumps.
I am also switching out my hydor for a tunze top off this weekend.
The hydor has been perfect and I highly recommend. I had a JBJ and autotop.com off both fail recently so I needed another top off and the Tunze controller footprint actually fits my control panel better..
Next my dosing system needs to be installed.

I know I need more Pictures, they are coming soon.

Well I am going to start a new thread for the new tank and link it back to here.

Equipment will be the same..

It also is going to be done a little different with Real Reef live rock.

Always wanted to try this stuff since I saw this thread:

Nice build. I was going through your other 125G build and saw those huge floating shelve rocks. How you make them float so nicely and wher did you get them?

I will Be discussing them in more detail in my new tank build:
https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/shred5-125-gallon-build.262462/

But really quick I did them with black acrylic shelves I made. The black acrylic blends perfect with water colors backgrounds, plus they are shaded. The rock is real reef shelf rock, basically Real reef rock is man made rock that is pre-cycled. It comes wet with bacteria so it is very close to live rock. the big rock is almost 2 foot by 1 foot, it is big.
