Shrimp Question

I've had a 55 gal tank up and running for about 2.5 months now. The nitrate is still a bit high. Will any amount of nitrate kill any type of shrimp? What are the requirements for say a cleaner shrimp?

I wouldn't put any invert in a tank that was 10 and above and 10 is pushing it. u need to get some bacteria supplement to help cycle your tank faster. Go to your local fish store and they'll show u what i'm talking about about. for future tank setups I recommend using live sand live rock live water u basically won't have to cycle
