For some reason my shrimps will not leave my clam alone. The clam hasn't opened up all the way today because it seemed to be stressed and the shrimp is digging inside and also the clams feet are not mounted. Is it dying?

Note: My other clams are doing great.

From my experience when a cleaner shrimp or crabs start to bother a clam it has already began to decompose inside the shell. Probably not what you wanted to here and may not be the case with yours but just my experience.

So shrimp will only bother clams that are already weak or sick. However they WILL prevent the clam from possibly recovering. In the past I've removed the shrimp for a month when it was irritating a clam and then reintroduced it when the clam was opening and happy again.
