Shy Tomini Tang

My Tomini Tang is a very shy guy... I've had him since early December and after a few weeks in quarantine and 3+ weeks in the display he's still quite shy when anyone comes around. He's getting along well with everyone in the tank, just hides in his cave when people are around. How long until he isn't quite so skittish? Would love to enjoy him without sneaking peeks around a corner at the tank.

I got a tomini on 12/30. He was also quite shy at first. He is no longer shy but one of the things that really helped was getting food he was really excited about. His favorites are freeze dried mysis soaked in Selcon and frozen angel formula. He wasn't eating well at first, but those things he loves, and that got him eating the other stuff I feed too. He is still more shy than my other fish (most of them eat out of my hand but he doesn't), but he is out and about most of the time. I am slow when I approach the tank, and generally sit down to watch them eat. If I stay standing he is more shy.
