Sicce shark 300

Has anyone else run into this problem with the sicce shark 300 skimmer. I've had mine for over 2 months now and it has always produces micro bubbles into my display tank. They coming out frim the bottom. I have recently taken it apart to see if there were any blockages or splits in the air line, but all is good. Has anyone managed to fix it?

I don’t have that skimmer, but most of these compact skimmers produce micro bubbles that can escape, drawback of compact design.

In my 10 gal tank I keep the skimmer in the first chamber (sometimes referred to as filter socks chamber) so that way the bubbles have time to dissipate before they get to the main display. I am using Tunze 9001 skimmer…

Thanks for the info, i was sure that it was something that i was doing wrong but if their knowen for doing it that's fine. I have an old fluval evo 52L next to my display tank that i'm using as a refugium, so i'm going to put it in there.

I am using a Shark 300 skimmer also. It has been running for about 2 weeks on a new setup. So far, I see no reduction in the micro bubble output. There are TONS of them. I submitted a service ticked to Sicce. They responded saying give it more time and try adding filter floss inside to catch bubbles. I'll post a video below that shows about double of your bubble output.

I am going to try to fit it into a HOB refug that I just ordered. Hopefully that will give micros time to dissipate before entering the display tank.

On another note, I have had mine dialed in pretty well a few times only to have the foam pulling back after about an hour. Hopefully it's because of a small bio load right now. I guess only time will tell. I feel your pain, it's hard to look at the tank when the lights are on! lol
