Hope someone can explain this to me, I assume it’s simple. If it has a minimum flow of 540 gallons per hour up to 1450 per hour, is it 540 gph at 1%? I have it down to 20 percent on my 40 breeder but my stupid eclipse over box even after modified is still too loud for my taste. I saw that WWC has one of their 750 gallons down to a trickle and I’m considered throttling it back even more. Might possibly raise the emergency drain even further to raise the water level to a dangerous height to silence.

That is a really good question. I would assume that the 540gph would be in the <5% range. Is the 40 breeder the display? or the sump? I am wondering if you might need a smaller pump.

40 breeder display. You think there’s any ill effect throttling the pump even lower than 20%?

I have a manifold off it running a 5” reactor and potentially a UV at some point. I think I severely over shot the pump for a 40 lol

There is no ill effect from running an SDC at their minimum setting. They are DC pumps.
