I have a Sicce Syncra Silent 2.0 that I have had in constant use for probably 5 years. Yesterday I noticed it was not running. I took it apart and discovered the magnet on the shaft had swollen and would not turn in the pump anymore.
What are the chances I just need a new impeller shaft for this pump? They are about $30 or so and a new pump is about $90.
Has anyone had success just changing the impeller shaft on a pump like this? I know it happens to other brands too.

I don’t know this pump specifically, but in general it’s quite easy to change an impeller and I’d be willing to bet it would work as good as new.

Also put your finger in the hole of the pump to feel if there is any damage to the pump as well, I would not have it plugged in as well.
