Woke up today and my clownfish are panting, staying near the bottom, and one of them is covered in white marks/spots. They are very big and kind of look like what I thought mucus plugs might be. The fish have been in a QT tank for a few months now. I have treated them twice already for ick. I was just feeding them some Paracleanse soaked food for white poop but other than that I thought they were golden. Everything was fine yesterday and they even ate well. I saw no problems. Today I go to check on them about noon and they are like this. I want to say it might be brook.

Clear case of brooklynella disease and infected fish will have to be treated in quarantine setting with formalin based medication such as quick cure or ruby rally pro
Ruby rally takes a little longer but works
If you can’t get your hands on some right away, often a 5 minute freshwater dip will offer the fish temporary relief

I don't think quick cure is made anymore I can't find it online.

Ruby rally will take 4 days to get here. would a freshwater dip then add copper and metro to QT until I can get ruby rally be a good idea?

I ordered the RRR. I actually could order formalin 37% instead but I am sort of afraid to. Has RRR been effective for you treating brook? Will I probably be too late by Tuesday? I will go check the big fish store an hour away tomorrow but is RRR at least half as good as proper formalin?

darn regulations. I wish I could just get quick cure. and a cheap yellow tang..

Edit: this stuff

That formalin will work - but it has 15% methanol in it. The stuff with 10% is safer to use for the fish. The methanol gets consumed by bacteria and it sucks the oxygen out of the water *aerate it well!
Formalin is really toxic to people, follow the label warning.

Sunday I freshwater dipped them and moved them into a new QT. They looked cured afterwards and were breathing great! I am dosing the new QT with metro and food soaking it. Today I am starting to see some white build up on one again but he is still breathing great.

Tomorrow Ruby Reef Rally will be here and I will bath them and add that to the QT.
Should I keep dosing metro during the RRR QT?

Would another freshwater dip today be a good idea?

I would give them daily FW dips as long as you can catch them easily.
