If sounds come from vibration in the sump, this works great. All you need are some zip ties, thick tubing, and egg crate. Work great for silencing that lousy skimmer pump and in-sump pump of yours.

The tubing will get hard over time. I know this first hand from experience. I have since done this with great results...

Just silicone in the corners. Make as level as possible but does not need to be exact at all. The silicone will stay soft whereas the tubing gets hard due to the other materials blended with silicone in the manufacturing process. Also the tubing can collect detritus.
