Is it a good sign or a bad sign when the corals get all puffy when the lights at their highest intensity. I've always leaned towards that is a positive response

Lol. As a newbie, I was thinking about that too. My branch hammer coral swells when the lights are on and shrinks when they go down. So I would say it's not a bad thing. GL

Yep, you are right! It is definitely a good thing. They retract during the night and puff during the day to increase surface area for photosynthesis. Nice corals!

It's common in LPS to inflate and deflate, nothing to worry about.
