ive had my silvertip pulsing Xenia for roughly 8 months, fragged it about 3 times, I absolutely love Xenia and Anthelia.

I haven’t come across this before but noticed a single Xenia polyp has a split “petal”.

Has anyone else observed this in Xenia? If so any clue on the cause?

wow, does xenias now have designer type? I thought xenias were just xenias... :)

A lot of my have split petals...

I think the names have something to do with local and differences or something, I’m still new to corals. I have 3 kinds of Xenia but only know the name of this one. Lol.

Do yo know what would cause the split? Is it a flow thing? This one is near the water serfice but gets mild flow because of where the output is placed.

Sorry, I don't know why it splits, I've never really paid attention... :)

That's not a good sign.

You need to frag it immediately and send it to me for further inspection. :D

Just kidding. I've never seen that before. I'd be cool to all of them split like that.

The only thing that could have maybe do it is of it was damaged somehow then it healed like that

Yeah a few of the stems were bent after transport, maybe damage is the right answer. I just saw another that’s basically a Siamese polyp, crazy looking. After the water settles from the water change I’ll snap a photo.
