Simplicity Dosing (4-Head); any reviews?

What is the inner diameter of the tubing that runs through the pump heads? Is it also 1/4"? Barbs also 1/4"?

Sorry this is not data I have handy, we have plenty of spares available but there is no dimensions in our product description. Its much smaller than 1/4", its likely only like 2mm or so. The nipples provided however can be used with 1/4" tubing.

Thanks Dom! Yes this is a basic solid dosing pump, no fancy bells and whistles just gets the job done. No Wifi, no blue tooth, just some basic yet very effective scheduling of dosing.

I agree, I can measure it and report back (physical measurement with calipers, so not from the tubing manufacture. It is very small though, if they are whole mysis it wont be a good solution for you.

Yes, whole mysis. I will look into some of the basic Kamoer peristaltic pump heads and see if I can work out a timer system. At larger diameter, pumping volume is probably pretty high.

I believe it is 2mm id, 4mm od. I use silicone tubing as a replacement and these are the measurements of that tubing and it works fine.

In my experience yes. Have experienced multiple power outages without issue.

Thanks good to hear. My only complaint re: this doser is that it's loud. The head squeaks like crazy and it's only a week or two into use in my case. Sounds like a common attribute (in looking at reviews elsewhere)......

Apply some silicon grease. Problem goes away.

Really? Apply it to what? I haven't opened it up to really look at it. Will lubricant mess up it's turning action? Is this something you actually did to this doser?

Does the Simplicity doser retain it's calibration after a power outage?

If you, or if you read somewhere of someone who's pump did not retain calibration please email us as your dosing pump needs re-programmed. We had a select few (like less than 100) that will not retain calibration. Its an easy fix with our help. These would have been units purchased roughly a year ago - Fall of 2024.

It absolutely should retain calibration.

Thanks. What is the trick to pull a head off? B/c of the nature of the tight spacing around the heads (heads beings sunk into the surrounding box walls) I can't for the life of me get fingers or anything else in deep enough to push in the tabs (if that's what they are) etc. to pull the head off.

Yeah it’s a bit tricky. I use a small screwdriver to gently unclip the tabs.

Thanks. It looks like there are tabs on top and bottom, and on each side. Which way do you go about it? Working top and bottom lose, or the sides?

Not an exact science. Once you get like 2 unclipped the head usually pops off.

Mine is loud too. I put up with it. Its 15 seconds, once per day.
