Hey everyone! Just wanted to photo-dump my 2-month-old reef tank here 😊

This is my third tank—I've been in the hobby for about 3 years now and still learning every day. Dimensions are 120cm x 50cm x 40cm.

My current favorite (and biggest!) fish is my Chaoti wrasse—such a stunner and so much personality.

Also, as a female hobbyist, it would be great to connect with other female reefers, in Singapore we're definitely few and far between!

Looking forward to sharing more updates and chatting with everyone 🌊🐠

Wow, that is a great tank! Thanks for sharing! Do you still have the other two tanks?

picked up these 2 new additions to the tank, dirty insanity tenius colony and 3 lori tiger anthias.
The anthias will go thru a 2 week qt of ttm, metro and prazi bfr they go into the dt.

my tank had a pretty nasty kh dip last month ( i attribute this to severely underestimating how much kh the tank was taking in, the kalk alone wasnt enuf to replace it), now ive set up a kamoer pump to get AFR in, kh has risen slowly from 5 to 8.3 ( over a mth ish) ! hope this holds steady, current acros are doing well in the tank so, i think things have more or less settled.

Nice looking anthias!

thanks, i wanted to get something thatll occupy the top parts of the tank, flavo anthias really caught my eye, but those hardly come in and cost alot of $$. Given this is my first foray into anthias, decided to go with something that was easier and still pretty

Heres an update on the trio, theyve started eating pieces of my blended food mix (mysis, shrimp, clam and seachem focus) . They mostly eat the smaller morsels, but ive started to see them go after the bigger pieces of mysis as well, im gonna start adding metro to their food mix tonite just to clear any intestinal stuff.

Hopefully while in QT they start going after the larger food pieces, its like reconditioning them to recognise what is food!

got some new goodies yesterday, the raja was a long time resident of the tank but i passed it to a friend to care for it while the tank was going through a kalk swing.

Now after a month kh is steady and the raja is back!
also picked up a facination favia and banana stylo for SGD$15 each ( thats USD$11 each)

My lori tiger anthias isnt doing too well though, lost one it wasnt eating well + i think getting bullied by the others in the Qt tank. I moved the biggest into the DT ( eats frozen pretty readily). We now have one strangler left in the qt tank, it eats bbs, but thats about it. Tryna get it to eat metro dosed frozen foods, cus its looking skinny like a stick. But alas the fussy fellow wont eating anything else. Damm anthias are tricky.

Hi,
I am from Singapore as well. Planning to setup my first reef tank.
May I know what temperature do you set?
My experience at my home is that I will have condensation at 25 deg or low.

Hi @SGFishFanatic ! Reviving this post hahah!

I’m looking to build a custom reef tank in SG as well!

Could you share where did u get urs from? And how’s the custom tank’s been going? And what should I look out for

Thanks!! ☺️

hello, apologise for the long hiatus, been busy w uni life, i got my tank from Tank culture they did a really good job on my tank.

Regarding tips ill say:
1) really plan out what you want for your tank whether its height and ease of reaching in to the tank, where your plugs are gonna go. I find drawing out diagrams and seeing other peoples set up for inspo help

2) ask around, most of my tank minor stuff like how my sump partitions, where my overflow will be, all these was from asking around and getting peoples opinions
