Skimmate to dry?

Does anyone think it's possible to get your skimmate to dry? I got a nice thick paste in the cup but my cup is also filled with a dry foam.


Is it possible? I have a biocube protein skimmer with a different air pump and a better air flow adjuster

Drier skimmate = proteins hang out in water longer
Wetter skimmate = proteins removed sooner
