Hello all, 1st of all what a whole family of nice people are part of this group.. ! But I need some help here. I can't find ANY info on this. I have goggled and goggled for days, but I am not very good at it :).. I am going to need it up and going very soon.. like 4 to 6 days. Adding Reef Flux to my 250 gallon system Nitrate spike "old tank syndrome". I am adding back a refugim with cheato in days and I want to use it in it. My question is does anyone know about this skimmer or how to get any kind of online manual on it..? And if so who mite that be or where..? Any in-put would help me a lot as I am going to use this skimmer, as I have to soon. I just don't know quite how yet, but again I am... LOL. I don't even know if the water comes in from the tank and into the top yet! I am thinkin so.. Nor anything about the air intake of it! Some help needed here... Idea's anyone...? As I am totally lost here - o_Oo_Oo_O Thank you for your both your time and help, really. I have to say; man-o man there are some nice, nice people in here! Thank you again..

WELCOME TO R2R, where all our question may or may not be answered !
Just kidding......
What you have there is what I think they called a down flow skimmer (not sure f that kind is even made anymore)
To make them work properly;
1. Pipe your pump outlet to the top larger barbed fitting
2. Water flows down that small inner white pvc pipe
3. Pipe pvc out of the very bottom hole and right angle out quickly with a ball valve to adjust flow
4. Attach and air line to the top small fitting and put a needle or gate valve to adjust the air intake.
5. You have to have the proper flow through the skimmer to make it work right...not sure how much flow is needed for that one, but most likely several hundred, not sure on the aquarium size it’s good for either.
6. The small connection out the side under the collection cup is a drain to capture the gunk

Welcome to R2R! Happy you're here.

It looks like @Brad Miller provided a great answer above!

In case you're interested; below is a link to what I believe to be the skimmer you have now. It certainly looks the same anyway and I believe it is made by a company called Marine Life Aquatics. Also, if you scroll down on the page, in the link, you'll see contact info for a company in FL that still carries the skimmer. Good luck!

I think I am understanding you..? lol... But is there suppose to be some kind of media for breaking up the air into micro bubbles...? Or other wise it would have very large bubbles wont it..? Downdrafts create a "lot" of very fine foam?. There is little to no adjustment I can see in the air intake..? That's where I will add a needle or gate valve. My guess is there should be some kind of tube coming down inside the white pvc pipe? Because why would there be a tapered fitting on the top lid?. I have a lot of pumps... no problem there, large and new. I also have hooked to my tank a Large Iquwi pump.. choked back some as well. I could plumb it into the top easy , is that right..? Water in from top, water out at bottom via gate valve. lol
